Graphic Designer

Are you a creative visual storyteller looking to make a meaningful impact? Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is seeking a talented, hands-on Graphic designer to join our Media, Marketing, and Sales team.

Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring the cultures, traditions, and living heritage of the North American Indian through the ongoing carving of Crazy Horse Memorial® in the Black Hills of South Dakota, alongside its museum, educational, and cultural programs. Our Media, Marketing, and Sales team tells the story to visitors, media, and partners around the world!

In this role, you will bring our mission to life through compelling promotional materials, digital visual assets, multimedia content, and brand collateral. Working under the direction of the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Tourism, you will manage end-to-end creative execution- from graphic design and layout to photography and basic video production.

While this role produces creative graphics and video assets for social channels, primary social media channel posting and account management fall outside the scope of this role.

Key Responsibilities

· Design graphics, layouts, advertisements, web elements, and promotional materials aligned with the Foundation’s brand identity across digital and print media.

· Apply, maintain, and safeguard branding guidelines across all visual concepts and projects.

· Serve as an on-site photographer and/or videographer as needed: capture, edit, produce, and archive visual media.

· Write stories, press releases, reports, and promotional text in various formats to support department outreach.

· Partner with the Media/Marketing team and other departments to deliver cohesive campaign concepts.

· Assist with sales support duties, including welcoming and greeting media guests, professional clients, and special Foundation visitors as requested.

· Manage project timelines independently to deliver high-quality design work on schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or related field.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

· A proven portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design, layout, typography, and visual concept development.

· Hands-on experience with photography, videography, and video/audio editing.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across teams and interfacing with guests.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

· Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays as business demands require.
