Job Overview

The Systems Software Engineer role focuses on developing and maintaining system-level software for networking and application delivery platforms. The ideal candidate has experience with Linux, network protocols, systems programming, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain system-level software components.
• Build software features for network application delivery platforms.
• Develop and optimize load balancing and traffic management functionality.
• Work with operating systems, networking interfaces, and system services.
• Analyze software performance and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Implement reliable communication and network processing components.
• Improve application availability, scalability, and system security.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Maintain technical documentation and software development standards.

Required Skills

• Experience in systems software or embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C or C++.
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix-based operating systems.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and network protocols.
• Familiarity with multithreading and concurrent programming.
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals and memory management.

Compensation

Illustrative annual salary range: $125,000–$165,000, depending on experience, technical qualifications, and responsibilities. This is a market estimate, not a verified company salary offer.
