Location

  • Hybrid in Malvern, PA. Currently 2 days per week onsite, moving to 3 days per week onsite. Candidates must live within approximately a one-hour commute at the time of hire.

Must Have Skills:

  • 7+ years of .NET/web development experience with strong modern .NET Core and C# expertise.
  • Strong SQL Server expertise, including performance troubleshooting, debugging long-running queries, stored procedures/functions, temp tables, and ETL/batch processes.
  • Strong software engineering and architectural mindset with the ability to translate requirements into well-designed technical solutions and apply sound design principles.
  • Broad full-stack capability across C#/.NET Core, SQL Server, and React, with strong expertise in at least 2 of these 3 areas.
  • Independent critical thinker and strong technical communicator who can investigate problems, ask effective questions, and clearly explain their technical approach.

Responsibilities and Job Details:

  • Design, develop, and support a cloud-based financial technology platform using .NET Core/C#, SQL Server, Azure, and React.
  • Own features throughout the complete software lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through development, delivery, and ongoing production support.
  • Work broadly across application layers rather than focusing on a narrowly defined technical specialty.
  • Analyze application and database performance issues, including troubleshooting complex and long-running SQL queries.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with financial services systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, and batch-file processing.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable code and sound technical solutions.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional engineering pods that include architecture, development, QA, business analysis, and automation resources.
  • Apply strong software design principles, including effective use of interfaces and appropriate application architecture patterns.
  • Contribute to customer-facing functionality, integrations, collections software, and other areas across the platform.
  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and development efficiency.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and problem-solving while clearly communicating technical decisions and approaches.
