Job Description
Help active women and athletes stay strong, healthy, and performing at their best.
COVA Physical Therapy is a growing, independently owned specialty practice in Solana Beach, California. We are seeking an experienced Pelvic Health Physical Therapist who is passionate about combining pelvic health expertise with orthopedic rehabilitation, strength training, and return to sport.
Our clientele includes active women and athletes across multiple age groups—from young athletes to postpartum women, recreational competitors, and women navigating menopause and healthy aging.
At COVA, we believe pelvic health physical therapy should go beyond symptom management. We help our clients return to the activities they love, build strength and confidence, and maintain lifelong physical capacity.
Our philosophy is simple
Keeping Active People Active.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values clinical autonomy, individualized treatment, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative specialty practice.
What You'll Do
- Provide individualized, one-on-one pelvic health physical therapy
- Evaluate and treat pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, and related musculoskeletal conditions
- Support clients through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause
- Treat active women and athletes with pelvic health and orthopedic concerns
- Integrate progressive resistance training, functional exercise, and movement education into treatment plans
- Guide clients through return to running, weightlifting, sports, and recreational activities
- Collaborate with orthopedic, sports performance, and longevity-focused clinicians
- Contribute to the continued development of COVA's women's health programs
Qualifications
Required:
- Current California Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure
- More than 2 years of clinical experience in pelvic health physical therapy
- Advanced training in pelvic floor assessment and treatment
- Strong orthopedic examination and clinical reasoning skills
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Ability to independently manage patient care
- Commitment to evidence-informed, individualized treatment
Preferred:
- Board certification in Women's Health Physical Therapy (WCS), or actively working toward certification
- Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC), or actively pursuing advanced pelvic health credentials
- Experience treating active women and athletes across the lifespan
- Experience with progressive weightlifting and strength training
- Experience with return-to-running and return-to-sport rehabilitation
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
- Experience in pregnancy/postpartum athletic rehabilitation
- Interest in menopause, bone health, muscle preservation, and healthy aging
- Pilates or other movement-based training
