Candidates without direct experience supporting both platforms in a healthcare setting will not be considered.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
Data extraction and vendor transfers
- Prepare, validate, and securely submit authorized raw data files to Solventum using approved transfer methods. Confirm required fields, file formats, delivery schedules, receipt, and processing results.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings and a data dictionary covering encounter identifiers, patient status, admission and discharge dates, facilities, providers, payers, diagnoses, DRGs, reviews, and query events.
- Reconcile source records, exported records, and accepted vendor records. Identify missing or duplicate encounters, incorrect values, mapping errors, rejected files, and delayed feeds; coordinate corrections and reprocessing with IT and Solventum.
- Support baseline extraction, historical data retention, and migration validation during the transition from Iodine to Solventum. Maintain traceable reconciliation logs and unresolved exception lists.
Reporting and analytical validation
- Develop, run, and validate backend queries, extracts, dashboards, and reports in Solventum and Epic using authorized tools and data sources. Build or modify Epic reports, dashboards, and work queues as needed within assigned access; coordinate restricted builds with Epic analysts.
- Validate report logic against source records and sample encounters, including filters, date fields, refresh timing, joins, exclusions, numerators, and denominators. Investigate conflicting results before distribution.
- Maintain reports for review coverage, productivity, query response and agreement, reconciliation, CC and MCC capture, CMI, SOI and ROM, quality reviews, and denials. Segment by facility, service line, payer, and reviewer; distinguish concurrent from pre-bill activity and prevent duplicate impact attribution.
- Compile validated weekly and monthly reporting packages with concise explanations of trends, discrepancies, limitations, and recommended follow-up. Maintain report specifications, version history, and a distribution calendar.
Systems and workflow optimization
- Translate CDI leadership requests into clear specifications for query templates, provider response choices, reminders, escalation rules, worklists, case statuses, assignment logic, and coder to CDI reconciliation workflows.
- Configure approved changes where access and functionality permit; otherwise coordinate builds with Epic analysts, IT, and Solventum. Validate integrated query routing, provider responses, encounter updates, and data flow between Epic and Solventum. Track changes through testing and release.
- Create current and future state process maps, flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, and responsibility matrices showing roles, handoffs, decision points, exceptions, and turnaround expectations.
- Support optimization of worklist prioritization, evidence sheets, nudges, and quality review pathways, including HAC, PSI, BSI, mortality, and clinical validity workflows. Clinical criteria and case determinations remain with designated clinical leaders.
- Analyze query response and closure patterns, unanswered queries, rejected recommendations, work queue aging, reconciliation delays, and opportunities missed between concurrent and pre-bill review. Recommend changes supported by data.
AI and reporting automation
- Use organization-approved AI tools to help draft workflow maps, report specifications, SQL or scripts, query-template revisions, presentations, and analyses requested by CDI leadership. Verify generated logic and outputs before use.
- Automate recurring data preparation, report compilation, quality checks, and exception tracking using approved tools such as Power Query, Power Automate, or Python. Document dependencies and provide a repeatable manual fallback.
- Support evaluation of Solventum AI outputs by assembling clinically reviewed samples, tracking accepted and rejected suggestions, investigating missed opportunities, and monitoring changes after updates.
- Handle patient information only in approved environments. Maintain appropriate access, audit trails, and human review for AI-assisted work; route clinical content and production changes through established approval processes.
Implementation testing and technical support
- Highly collaborative role requiring regular video-based interaction with clients, operational leaders, and technical teams, including frequent presentation and demonstration of Solventum and Epic CDI solutions.
- Represent CDI technical requirements in implementation meetings. Maintain a consolidated request backlog, issue log, dependencies, and status updates for CDI leadership.
- Develop test scenarios and coordinate user acceptance testing for extracts, reports, query workflows, interfaces, and application updates. Document expected and actual results, defects, retesting, and release readiness.
- Assess downstream effects of changes, including reporting continuity, provider responses, query routing, reconciliation, and historical comparisons. Maintain release notes and coordinate rollback arrangements with the responsible technical teams.
- Troubleshoot CDI application and reporting issues; collect evidence, reproduce defects, open vendor tickets, and escalate unresolved items. Confirm resolution with affected users.
- Maintain operating procedures, technical references, and user guides. Partner with CDI educators on training and provide backup documentation so critical processes can continue during absences.
