About this role
About Convey
----------------
Every growing company runs on an invisible operating layer: recurring work that crosses a dozen systems and still needs a person to move it forward. Convey is a digital workforce platform. We take that work off the team and give it to digital teammates that the company's own operators train and manage.
Each teammate owns a responsibility from the first request to the finished result.
Customers like TelevisaUnivision, Savoya, and Strategus use Convey for work that stands between the business and its revenue. Strategus cut integration launches from three to six months down to under one week.
About the role
------------------
We sell to executives, and you'll create the rooms where they meet us. You'll own Convey's field events and event speaking opportunities, and make them the in-person engine of our account-based motion: executive dinners and roundtables, our own events, and the right presence at the right industry events.
Working hand in hand with sales, you'll make sure every event starts from our target accounts and ends in meetings and pipeline.
You'll also build the team differently. Alongside the core job, you'll train and manage your own digital workforce on Convey. Those teammates will own the recurring research, tracking, and follow-up work that usually takes over a field marketer's week, so your time goes to strategy, experiences, and relationships.
You'll be customer zero for the product you're marketing.
What you'll own
-------------------
Event strategy and budget
- Build and own the field events plan and budget, chosen around where our target accounts and executive buyers actually gather.
- Decide where we show up and how: sponsorships, hosted side events, booths, or not at all.
Executive and hosted events
- Plan and run executive dinners, roundtables, breakfasts, and workshops around key industry events and in our priority markets.
- Create events we host ourselves, from small executive gatherings to customer and community events.
Speaking opportunities
- Source, pitch, and secure speaking slots for our executives and customers at events that reach our buyers. Partner with brand marketing on each executive's point of view and talk.
- Turn every talk into conversations with target accounts.
Account-based execution
- Partner with account executives and demand generation to build invite lists from target accounts, and run the outreach before each event and the follow-up after.
- Own the handoff: every attendee conversation reaches the right seller quickly, with context.
Measurement
- Track every event from invite to pipeline: target account attendance, meetings, and pipeline sourced and influenced. Report on it every week and cut what doesn't work.
- Keep event data clean in the CRM and marketing platforms.
Vendors and logistics
- Manage venues, agencies, production, swag, travel, and budgets, with the same bar for a 12-person dinner as for a 2,000-person conference.
Your digital workforce
- Decide which recurring field work to delegate. Examples include event research and calendars, speaking submission tracking, invite list building and account research, RSVP and logistics tracking, attendee follow-up prep, and post-event reporting.
- Train those teammates, review their work, and keep improving them as programs change.
- Share what works so it shapes how Convey markets with Convey and how we tell the story to customers.
What you bring
------------------
- 5+ years in field or event marketing at B2B SaaS companies with a sales-led motion that sells to enterprise executives.
- Executive events that produced meetings and pipeline, not just attendance. You can show the numbers.
- Experience running events as part of an account-based program, in close partnership with sales.
- Experience securing speaking slots and preparing speakers.
- A strong operator. You run budgets, vendors, and logistics without dropping details.
- Fluency in CRM and marketing platforms. You report on event results yourself.
- Comfort with regular travel.
- Real fluency with AI, and the urge to hand off whole processes rather than just doing pieces of them faster.
- Experience marketing AI or enterprise software platforms.
Why join
------------
- Build the field program for a new category from the ground up.
- Use the product to build your team. You'll know the customer's experience better than anyone.
- Help shape the marketing organization early.
