CSI is seeking a talented and detail\-oriented **Hardware Designer** to join our engineering team. The Hardware Designer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and documentation of electronic hardware systems and products. This role involves collaborating with cross\-functional teams to create innovative, reliable, and cost\-effective hardware solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in electronic circuit design, PCB layout, product development, and troubleshooting, along with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and validate electronic hardware solutions for new and existing products.
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.
- Develop analog, digital, mixed\-signal, and power circuits based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and failure analysis to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Support prototype builds, testing, debugging, and verification activities.
- Develop test plans and procedures for product qualification and validation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to evaluate components, resolve technical issues, and support production activities.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, design optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, specifications, and revision control documentation.
- Provide technical support for sustaining engineering and field\-related issues as needed.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3\+ years of experience in hardware design and product development.
- Experience designing analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, microcontrollers, processors, and communication interfaces.
- Experience with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and digital multimeters.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem\-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware integration.
- Knowledge of wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi\-Fi, LoRa, or cellular technologies.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI, UL, CE, FCC, or other regulatory standards.
- Experience with high\-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis.
- Understanding of power electronics and battery\-powered device design.
- Project management or product lifecycle management (PLM) system experience.
