Job Overview

Connectify is seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Analyst to help ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and usability of its networking software. The successful candidate will test application features, identify defects, validate fixes, and collaborate with software engineers to deliver dependable software across supported operating systems and devices.

This role is suited to a quality-focused professional who enjoys investigating technical issues, designing test scenarios, and improving software testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for software applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Test application behavior across supported operating systems, devices, and network environments.
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools.
• Verify bug fixes and confirm that changes do not introduce new issues.
• Evaluate network connectivity, connection switching, performance, and reliability.
• Test application settings, user interfaces, configuration workflows, and connectivity features.
• Collaborate with software developers and product team members to clarify requirements and expected behavior.
• Conduct compatibility testing across supported platforms and configurations.
• Assist with release validation and software quality assessments.
• Maintain test documentation, defect reports, and quality assurance records.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage and testing efficiency.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.

Required Skills

• Experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or application validation.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to create detailed test cases and document reproducible defects.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking and project management tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS application environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience testing desktop, mobile, or networking software.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing tools and automated regression testing.
• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with network diagnostics, packet analysis, or VPN testing.
• Experience with Git, CI pipelines, and software release processes.
• Relevant software testing certifications are a plus.
