- Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using CAD software.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and revision-controlled drawings.
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation packages.
- Develop and update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Specify components including pumps, valves, sensors, instrumentation, motors, and controls.
- Perform engineering calculations related to mechanical design, pressure containment, structural support, and fluid systems.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Support manufacturing and fabrication teams by resolving design-related issues and providing technical guidance.
- Interface directly with customers to review requirements, discuss technical solutions, and support project execution.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, serviceability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist with equipment start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities when required.
- Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications

- Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, machining, sheet metal, and assembly.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing pressure vessels, piping systems, or process equipment.
- Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
- Proficiency with Creo software.
- Familiarity with ASME B31.3 Process Piping standards.
- Experience selecting and specifying pumps, instrumentation, valves, and process equipment.
- Experience developing P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
- Knowledge of sanitary processing systems used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial applications.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Experience supporting custom-engineered or project-based manufacturing environments.
