Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this role supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis across Conair's global business units.

The FP&A Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting and analysis that helps business leaders understand performance and make informed decisions. The role partners cross-functionally with Divisional Finance, Accounting, IT, and other business teams to analyze financial results, identify key performance drivers, risks, and opportunities, and improve financial visibility.

This role is well suited for an analytical, curious, and hands-on finance professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, improving processes, and leveraging technology to enhance reporting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring assumptions and projections are accurate and current.
  • Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key variances and underlying business drivers.
  • Partner with Divisional Finance teams to understand monthly performance and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support KPI tracking and financial analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as business priorities evolve.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Support the monthly reporting and performance management cycle.
  • Consolidate financial results, forecasts, and key business metrics across business units.
  • Prepare accurate and timely management reporting using Workday Adaptive Planning and other financial systems.
  • Assist in preparing financial materials and analysis for monthly operating reviews, leadership discussions, and quarterly Board meetings.
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources.
  • Investigate discrepancies and inconsistencies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.

Business & Commercial Analysis

  • Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and other key financial and operational metrics.
  • Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers across products, customers, categories, and business units.
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional partners to support business performance and critical decision-making.

Systems, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify financial processes, eliminate non-value-added work, and reduce manual reporting.
  • Support the standardization and continuous improvement of financial reporting, data, and ways of working.
  • Leverage technology, including advanced analytics, data visualization, process automation, and planning tools, to improve financial insights and reporting efficiency.
  • Support the integration and connection of Excel-based reporting with Workday Adaptive Planning, including OfficeConnect.
  • Assist with enhancements to financial models, planning tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Follow established internal controls, financial policies, and company procedures.
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of corporate finance experience, preferably within FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with large datasets, financial models, and complex reporting.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate issues, and translate data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to take ownership of deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning/Adaptive Insights, including model building and OfficeConnect.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, or other financial planning, reporting, or data visualization tools.
