DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees nursing services and supervises nursing staff to help ensure safe, effective care for individuals at the facility. The role combines clinical leadership, staff development, quality monitoring, and coordination of nursing operations. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Staff Supervision: Direct registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, monitor performance, and provide guidance, training, and support
• Care Oversight: Review health care plans, evaluate nursing services, and help ensure care meets established standards and treatment goals
• Quality Monitoring: Audit records, assess nursing practices, and address deficiencies to promote quality assurance and compliance
• Training Leadership: Conduct orientation activities, maintain CPR instructor certification, and support ongoing staff development programs
• Staffing Coordination: Assess coverage needs, adjust staffing assignments, and help maintain required nursing staff levels
• Clinical Collaboration: Participate on interdisciplinary teams, share nursing expertise, and coordinate care with health care partners and families

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM (3rd shift), rotating days off. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Travel and overtime will be required, as needed.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
