Experienced Advertising Sales Representative – Maui Nō Ka ʻOi Magazine

We're looking for a proven media or advertising sales professional who knows Maui's business community and takes charge of a territory.

About Maui Nō Ka ʻOi

Maui Nō Ka ʻOi celebrates the people, Hawaiian culture, food, art and places that make life on Maui special. Our stories and photography connect island residents, visitors and mainland readers with Maui, and give island businesses a way to reach them.

The Role

You'll own advertiser relationships across Maui: restaurants, retailers, resorts, real estate and other local businesses. You'll learn their goals, recommend print and digital advertising, close the business and grow accounts issue to issue. You'll work from home and meet clients in person, running your accounts independently with support from the publisher and creative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect new advertisers daily by phone, email and in-person meetings.
• Build proposals and advertising plans matched to each client's goals.
• Close sales and keep ad materials moving on deadline.
• Manage renewals and grow existing accounts.
• Keep clean account notes and follow-up plans in our CRM.
• Hit monthly sales goals and report progress to the publisher.

Requirements

• 2+ years of media, advertising or B2B sales experience, with results you can show (accounts managed, revenue, quota attainment). Please include them on your résumé.
• Sharp, organized and a clear communicator who takes ownership.
• A genuine connection to Maui and a feel for its business community. You can live anywhere in the U.S.
• Strong plus: relationships with Maui hotels and resorts, restaurants, real estate or retail.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
