Human Resources Generalist

Job Overview

As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll support employees and leaders across core human resources operations. You’ll coordinate hiring, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, compliance, and workforce initiatives, handling sensitive information with care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding routine HR questions and concerns.
• Assist with employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Coordinate with payroll to ensure employee changes, new hires, terminations, and other updates are processed accurately.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Support the administration and communication of company policies and procedures.
• Maintain employee handbook acknowledgments and required employment documentation.
• Assist with audits and employment verifications.
• Monitor required documentation and ensure records are maintained in accordance with retention requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 2–4 years of HR experience.
• Working knowledge of general HR practices, employment laws, and HR administration.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and managers across multiple locations.
