Together, the firm provides leaders with deep industry knowledge and relationships, solutions to address clients’ unique business goals and risks, and insight on how emerging market forces can drive opportunity.

With offices nationwide, the firm serves organizations around the world as an independent member of Nexia.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our corporate Finance leadership team.

WHY COHNREZNICK?

At CohnReznick, we’re united by a common mission to create opportunity, value, and trust for our clients, our people, and our communities. Whether it’s working alongside your peers to solve a client challenge, or volunteering together at the local food bank, there are so many ways to find your “why” at the firm.

We believe it’s important to balance work with everyday life – and make time for enjoyment and fun. We invest in a robust Total Rewards package that includes everything from generous PTO, a flexible work environment, expanded parental leave, extensive learning & development, and even paid time off for employees to volunteer.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Consolidate the forecast and actuals into one set of numbers each month.
  • Explain variances to budget and forecast by driver, not only by line item.
  • Support the board pack build: tables, charts, reconciliations, and tie-outs to the close.
  • Maintain and improve planning templates and reports in Adaptive, working with the planning systems team.
  • Support the annual budget and periodic reforecasts, including the cycle in which partners enter their inputs, and help improve forecast quality by checking inputs and flagging assumptions that look off.
  • Reduce manual data preparation and reconciliation over time through better templates, automation, and reporting tools.
  • Build ad hoc analysis for the CFO; the Managing Director, Strategic Finance; and practice leadership, at the direction of the FP&A lead.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 4 to 5 years of total experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or Big 4 audit or transaction services; investment banking experience a plus.
  • Experience at a private equity-backed company a plus; experience with professional services metrics (for example, utilization, realization, and WIP) a plus.
  • Advanced Excel and a working knowledge of the three financial statements; Adaptive or a similar planning tool a plus; data visualization or automation tools (for example, Power BI, Tableau, or Python) a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail; comfortable owning deadlines in a monthly cycle.
  • Clear writing and speaking; able to explain numbers to non-finance leaders; discreet with confidential information.
  • Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work, and curious about applying them to reduce manual work and improve analysis.
  • Willing, and ideally eager, to be in person when it adds value, including team meetings in New York or Parsippany, NJ.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
