Cognizant is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to work onsite from our office in Hartford, CT focusing on advanced DevSecOps and AI native architectures for a global organization. The Architect designs and optimizes secure infrastructure patterns that integrate development, security, and operations for AI workloads and continuous delivery pipelines.
The role ensures robust security practices, scalable platforms, and consistent reporting that support strategic business outcomes and societal trust in digital services.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive infrastructure architectures that unify DevSecOps principles with scalable platforms supporting AI workloads while ensuring secure and reliable delivery of business services across hybrid environments.
- Develop AI native DevSecOps architecture patterns that enable secure experimentation, training, and deployment of machine learning models while maintaining strong controls on data protection and model integrity.
- Define and maintain DevSecOps reference architecture standards that guide engineering teams in building secure, observable, and resilient infrastructure components aligned with enterprise policies. Implement security practices for DevSecOps by integrating threat modeling, secure configuration baselines, and automated compliance checks into infrastructure pipelines to reduce vulnerabilities before production.
- Optimize DevSecOps practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery by designing infrastructure as code workflows, artifact management strategies, and automated testing gates that improve release speed and quality.
- Coordinate with platform, application, and security teams to align infrastructure roadmaps with organizational objectives ensuring that DevSecOps solutions support business growth and responsible innovation.
- Provide guidance on hybrid work enablement through secure remote access architectures, robust identity and access patterns, and resilient connectivity that support day shift operations without travel requirements.
- Establish monitoring and observability frameworks for AI workloads and DevSecOps platforms using metrics, logs, and traces to quickly detect anomalies, improve system reliability, and protect customer trust.
- Create regular reporting mechanisms that translate technical performance and risk indicators into clear insights for stakeholders helping them understand infrastructure health and security posture.
- Enhance infrastructure resilience by designing backup, recovery, and high availability strategies that minimize downtime and preserve critical data across on premises and cloud environments.
- Drive adoption of reusable infrastructure components and shared services that reduce duplication of effort, lower operational costs, and accelerate delivery of secure AI enabled solutions. Mentor engineering teams on secure coding for infrastructure as code and DevSecOps workflows promoting consistent practices that support ethical and compliant use of technology in society.
- Evaluate emerging tools and methods in DevSecOps and AI platforms and recommend pragmatic improvements that strengthen security controls and operational efficiency without disrupting existing services.
The salary range for this role is between $133,000 and $156,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 10/15/2026.
