Cognizant Consulting is where curious minds come together to solve complex challenges and create meaningful impact. Blending industry insight, technology expertise, and the power of AI, we partner with leading organizations to transform the way they work, serve customers, and grow.

About the role

As a Consulting Manager – Horizon Business Analyst, you will make an impact by translating complex banking business needs into clear functional requirements and supporting the successful delivery of core banking transformation and implementation initiatives on the FIS Horizon Core Banking platform.

You will be a valued member of the Core Banking Consulting team and work collaboratively with banking clients, business stakeholders, technology and delivery teams, and clients.

In this role, you will

  • Lead Business Analysis activities for core banking transformation, modernization, enhancement, and implementation initiatives involving the FIS Horizon Core Banking platform.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions, and translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications.
  • Analyze current-state banking processes, define future-state processes, and perform gap analysis between client requirements and Horizon platform capabilities.
  • Serve as the functional liaison between client business teams and technical delivery teams, supporting requirements validation, functional design reviews, testing, defect resolution, and implementation readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Apply strong retail and commercial banking domain knowledge to guide project teams, mentor Business Analysts, and ensure consistency and quality across deliverables.

What you must have to be considered

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with significant experience in Business Analysis within banking or financial services.
  • Hands-on working and/or implementation experience with the FIS Horizon Core Banking platform.
  • Strong Business Analysis experience, including requirements elicitation, documentation, process analysis, gap analysis, and functional requirements definition.
  • Strong knowledge of retail and commercial banking processes, products, and core banking operations, with experience supporting core banking implementations, transformations, upgrades, enhancements, or modernization programs.
  • Excellent client-facing, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and manage competing priorities independently.

These will help you succeed

  • Previous consulting or client-facing delivery experience within banking and financial services.
  • Experience working on large-scale core banking transformation or modernization programs.
  • Experience supporting testing, user acceptance testing, implementation readiness, data migration, system integration, or post-production activities.
  • Experience leading or mentoring Business Analysts within complex banking programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile and traditional delivery methodologies.

We're excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don't hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed.
