About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on AI Platform Engineering Lead to help architect and build a new enterprise agentic AI platform for a healthcare client. The platform will connect enterprise data, AI services, and business systems through secure integrations and reusable workflows.
You will partner with the program owner and lead AI engineer to deliver the first version of the platform, establish engineering standards, and help shape the future engineering team.
Healthcare experience is preferred. Candidates with strong enterprise AI platform experience in other industries are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build the core platform on AWS, including application services, identity and access controls, networking, and event-driven processing.
- Develop secure, scalable integrations with enterprise systems, beginning with Databricks.
- Build agent workflows, tool integrations, orchestration patterns, and knowledge retrieval capabilities.
- Define how agents access tools and data, maintain workflow state, handle failures, and route actions for human approval.
- Establish reusable components and interfaces for models, tools, retrieval services, and enterprise integrations.
- Implement access controls, audit logging, monitoring, and data protection appropriate for sensitive enterprise and healthcare information.
- Establish evaluation practices for agent behavior, retrieval quality, response accuracy, latency, and cost.
- Define development standards, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.
- Lead technical design discussions, review code, and mentor AI, backend, and front-end engineers.
- Collaborate with product, AI, security, and data teams to translate requirements into an achievable architecture and delivery roadmap.
