Job description

About this role

$20–$25 per hour based on experience and portfolio | Approximately 10 hours per week | Part-time 1099 contract opportunity | Greater Houston jobsite visits + remote planning/editing

About the role

Cline Construction & Renovation seeks a local social media manager and content creator to turn our residential, commercial, and multifamily projects into engaging content. Bring ideas, coordinate filming with our team, and take content from planning through publishing.

Plan and edit remotely, with coordinated daytime visits to Greater Houston jobsites. Travel, mileage, and equipment/software arrangements will be discussed before engagement.

What you will do

  • Plan content a month ahead, including relevant trends, project stories, before-and-afters, educational topics, and team features.
  • Coordinate with PMs and team members to identify upcoming work, arrange site visits, and schedule people needed on camera.
  • Capture original onsite photos and videos of work in progress, completed projects, team features, and short interviews.
  • Edit reels, photos, YouTube Shorts, and longer videos; write captions and adapt content for each platform.
  • Coordinate approvals, schedule and publish content, monitor comments and messages, and route inquiries to our team.
  • Meet biweekly with the Cline team to review ideas and coordinate content-gathering schedules, site visits, and team participation.
  • Collaborate on website blog posts, contributing ideas, project details, photos, and videos, and coordinating related social content.

What we are looking for

  • Experience creating content and managing business social accounts, with examples you personally filmed and edited.
  • Short-form video and writing skills; proficiency with CapCut, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Reliable communication, proactive shoot coordination, and dependable follow-through.
  • Local availability, reliable transportation, and comfort following safety instructions at active jobsites. Construction or home improvement experience is a plus.

Monthly content targets

  • 8 original social posts adapted for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest as appropriate.
  • 2 YouTube Shorts, which may reuse suitable reels from the 8 original posts.
  • 4 Google Business Profile posts using available project content.
  • Up to 1 longer project video when footage and monthly priorities allow.

Maintain a content calendar and brief performance summary. Plan filming, editing, publishing, meetings, and blog support within approximately 10 hours per week; agree on priorities and approve extra hours in advance.
