Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide patient care across inpatient and outpatient units, with potential Emergency Department responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing patients with varying acuity levels in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in collaboration with physicians.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage health conditions, including referrals when necessary.
• Obtain patient histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
• Develop individualized care plans and document patient progress.
• Evaluate patients for potential hospital admission and coordinate referrals.
• Prepare patient workups and clinical summaries.
• Obtain relevant psychosocial histories and establish therapeutic relationships with patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience.
• Proficiency in oral intubation and central line placement.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• National certification through ANCC or AANP.
• Current Illinois NP license.
• Current DEA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to meet applicable Illinois licensing and practice requirements.
• Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
