About this role
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
The City of Kennedale, Texas (pop. 10,626) is seeking a Human Resources Manager. Kennedale is located just southeast of Fort Worth.
We are a family-oriented community providing a refuge from the hectic pace of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Open spaces, green belts, and trails enhance our serenity, quality of life, and community. With easy access from I-20 and 287, Kennedale is economically prosperous, business-friendly, and conveniently located, providing opportunities to shop, work, and play.
We are looking for a hands-on, energetic, and highly organized HR professional who enjoys being actively involved in all aspects of Human Resources. This is a one-person HR department, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions, from day-to-day administration and employee relations to recruiting, benefits, compliance, and employee engagement.
The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of HR experience and is a natural self-starter who takes initiative, stays organized, and gets things done without needing constant direction. They are resourceful, intelligent, solutions-oriented, and comfortable figuring things out while knowing when to ask questions or seek guidance.
Just as important, this person genuinely enjoys working with people. They are approachable, upbeat, empathetic, and personable. They enjoy being visible and involved with employees and are excited about planning and coordinating employee events, activities, and other opportunities to bring people together.
We need someone who enjoys being in the middle of things, takes ownership, and is willing to roll up their sleeves and handle whatever needs to be done. The right person takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly while also making the workplace a better place to be.
