About this role

Choice Recovery Path (CRP)

Changing Lives One Choice at a Time

Build Relationships. Strengthen Communities. Help More People Find Recovery.

Behavioral Health Account Manager | Albuquerque, NM | Full-Time | Field-Based

At Choice Recovery Path (CRP), changing lives starts long before someone walks through our doors. It starts by building strong relationships throughout the behavioral health community and making sure individuals, families, providers, and referral partners know where to turn when someone needs help.

We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Behavioral Health Account Manager to help expand CRP's presence, strengthen our referral network, and connect more people throughout New Mexico with the behavioral health and recovery services they need.

This isn't transactional sales. It's an opportunity to become a trusted resource within the behavioral health community. You'll develop meaningful relationships with hospitals, clinics, therapists, community organizations, and other healthcare partners while working closely with our admissions and clinical teams to help individuals access the right level of care.

If you're a natural relationship builder who understands behavioral health, enjoys getting out into the community, and wants your work to have an impact beyond hitting a number, we want to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Behavioral Health Account Manager, you'll own and grow relationships throughout your assigned territory while helping expand awareness and utilization of CRP's services. You'll:

  • Build lasting referral relationships with hospitals, clinics, therapists, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Identify and develop new partnership and business opportunities that increase appropriate client referrals and support program growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, maintaining strong engagement and providing exceptional service to our referral partners.
  • Collaborate closely with CRP's admissions and clinical teams to coordinate client placements and help connect individuals with the appropriate level of care.
  • Conduct regular outreach through in-person visits, phone calls, presentations, and relationship-building activities.
  • Represent CRP at community events, networking functions, and industry meetings.
  • Monitor referral trends, account activity, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of account interactions and outreach activity within CRP's CRM system.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements while representing CRP in the community.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines business development instincts with a genuine understanding of behavioral health and recovery.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Behavioral Health, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, account management, or business development.
  • Experience working with behavioral health referral networks or admissions processes is highly valued.
  • Existing relationships within New Mexico's behavioral health or healthcare community are a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of substance use disorders, mental health services, and behavioral health levels of care; ASAM knowledge is preferred.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, relationships, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance and payer systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable spending significant time in the field developing and maintaining relationships throughout an assigned territory.

Why CRP?

Great relationships start with great people, and we believe in investing in ours.

This is an opportunity to build your career with a growing behavioral health organization while doing work that directly contributes to people getting access to treatment, recovery services, and a better future.

Competitive Compensation & Outstanding Benefits

  • Pay Range: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
  • CRP covers 85% of your medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 12 paid federal holidays
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid Sick Leave
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with matching
  • Life Insurance
  • First-Time Home Buyers Assistance Program
  • Continuing Education Assistance
  • Career Growth and Advancement Opportunities
  • A mission-driven organization where business development means helping more people access care

Make Your Network Mean Something

The relationships you build in this role have a real-world impact.

A conversation with a hospital discharge planner can help someone find continued support. A relationship with a therapist can connect a client to services they didn't know existed. A strong partnership with another provider can help prevent someone from falling through the cracks.

At CRP, business development isn't just about growing our organization. It's about growing access to recovery.

If that sounds like the kind of work you want your career attached to, we'd like to hear from you.
