Occupational Therapist - PRN

Occupational therapy coverage on our rehab unit centers on resident evaluations and functional retraining. You will work alongside our floor therapy team and nursing leadership to handle daily treatment sessions and document progress in PointClickCare. The focus stays on practical mobility goals and safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial occupational therapy evaluations, re-assessments, and plan of care development for residents.
• Deliver direct daily therapeutic interventions focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, and adaptive equipment training.
• Document clinical treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries within PointClickCare.
• Collaborate with physical therapy staff and floor nurses to support resident rehabilitation goals.
• Educate residents and family members on adaptive techniques and discharge safety strategies.

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

• Pay Rate: Starting at 52/hr
• Schedule: PRN / As Needed (flexible weekday and weekend shifts)

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) License
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
• Must pass a standard criminal background check
• Must pass a drug screening
• Reliable transportation for consistent attendance
