Job Description

The IT Product Owner serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, translating strategic objectives and business requirements into actionable product features. This position manages product priorities throughout the development lifecycle, supports Agile delivery practices, and collaborates with technical and business partners to deliver effective, user-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmaps, priorities, and product backlogs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and product features.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization to support timely product delivery.
  • Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, QA professionals, and business stakeholders to improve product functionality and usability.
  • Promote Agile best practices, including iterative development and continuous stakeholder collaboration.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure product performance and success.
  • Communicate product progress, risks, dependencies, and priorities to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support end-user training and product implementation activities.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities without direct supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field and at least three years of experience in IT
  • Product Management or a related role; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within an Agile development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience collaborating with development, UX/UI, QA, and business teams.
  • Ability to translate business objectives and user needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • CSPO, PSPO, or similar Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, software development principles, and cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Gaming and hospitality technology experience, including CMS, POS, PMS, or ERP systems, is preferred.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required gaming licensure and a valid driver’s license.
