About this role

People Operations Coordinator

=================================

Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan | Schedule: Standard Day Shift | Work Style: Hybrid

Step into a day where details matter and people come first. At CAD Engineering Resources, Inc., you will be a central partner to employees and leaders—welcoming new hires, keeping our records spotless, and ensuring our policies are followed with care.

A day in the role

---------------------

You start your morning reviewing onboarding tasks for new team members, confirming I-9 documentation, and preparing orientation materials. Midday, you update our HR databases and process changes in employment status. In the afternoon, you answer questions about benefits and policies, coordinate a training session, and finalize attendance data to support payroll.

Before you wrap, you compile a quick report and double-check that everything aligns with labor law and company policy.

What you will handle

------------------------

  • Guide new hires through onboarding and orientation with a friendly, organized approach
  • Maintain accurate employee files and keep HR systems up to date
  • Process employment transactions: new hires, terminations, and status updates
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Coordinate training and engagement activities that build connection
  • Assist with payroll preparation and attendance tracking
  • Uphold compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Produce HR reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as needed
  • Provide general administrative support across the HR function

Qualifications

------------------

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience
  • Exceptional organization and time management
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with HR practices and employment laws is a plus

Preferred

-------------

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Positive, learning-oriented mindset
  • Spanish-speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Important notices

---------------------

A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.

By applying, you affirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete. Submitting false or misleading details may result in withdrawal or denial of an offer, or other corrective action, up to and including termination after your start date.

If you are eager to grow your HR career in a hybrid, daytime role and enjoy helping others succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
