About this role
Crop Insurance Account Manager
Location: Kingdom City, Missouri Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $55,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Crop Insurance Account Manager to take ownership of an established portfolio of agricultural producers and serve as their primary point of contact for crop insurance needs.
This is an opportunity for a knowledgeable crop insurance professional to develop long-term relationships with existing customers, independently manage accounts, and play an important role in the continued growth and success of our agency.
This is not a cold-calling or commission-driven sales position. Our priority is finding someone who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, understands the complexities of crop insurance, and can confidently manage producer relationships and policy responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Producer Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing crop insurance customers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each producer's farming operation, coverage needs, and policy history.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships through proactive communication, timely service, and consistent follow-through.
- Independently manage routine account questions, service requests, and customer concerns within established agency procedures and licensing authority.
- Conduct or participate in annual policy reviews and communicate coverage options and recommendations as appropriately licensed and authorized.
Crop Insurance Policy Management
- Oversee the annual service cycle for assigned accounts, including sales closing, renewals, acreage reporting, production reporting, and other policy deadlines.
- Proactively obtain required information, documentation, and signatures from producers.
- Coordinate policy changes, underwriting requests, and reporting requirements with agency processing staff and Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs).
- Monitor outstanding policy issues and ensure they are resolved accurately and promptly.
- Assist producers with claims communication and coordinate with AIPs and adjusters as appropriate.
- Identify potential coverage concerns, policy discrepancies, and opportunities to better serve existing customers.
Agency Collaboration & Accountability
- Work closely with processing, administrative, and precision technology personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of policy requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate customer records, communications, and documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow issues through to resolution.
- Exercise sound judgment, recognize when escalation is necessary, and communicate effectively with agency leadership.
- Support agency service standards and contribute to improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working in crop insurance, agricultural insurance, or a closely related field.
- Working knowledge of crop insurance terminology, policy servicing, reporting requirements, and agricultural production practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships with agricultural producers.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customers, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with computers, email, document-management systems, and the ability to learn agency software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required insurance licensing and applicable authorizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of crop insurance agency, AIP, underwriting, adjusting, or related industry experience.
- Existing crop insurance producer license.
- Experience managing an established portfolio of agricultural insurance customers.
- Familiarity with MPCI products, acreage reporting, production reporting, and policy servicing.
- Experience working directly with agricultural producers and farming operations in Missouri or surrounding states.
- Familiarity with AIP policy administration systems and precision agriculture technology.
Schedule & Working Expectations
Regular office hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at our Kingdom City, Missouri office.
Because agricultural insurance is seasonal and deadline-driven, occasional flexibility may be required for producer meetings, farm visits, reporting deadlines, and peak workload periods.
The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing dependable service to our customers.
Compensation & Career Opportunity
Annual Base Salary: $55,000–$80,000
Compensation will be based on crop insurance experience, technical knowledge, licensing, and demonstrated ability to independently manage an established portfolio of producer accounts.

We are seeking a long-term team member who values accountability, professional growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.
