We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join a respected rehabilitation team in Spirit Lake, Iowa.

This full-time position offers a diverse caseload across hospital inpatient rehabilitation, hospital outpatient services, outpatient clinic services, and home health, providing an excellent opportunity to build a broad range of clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on patients across the lifespan.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients across multiple care settings to restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and maximize independence. Working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the PT delivers evidence-based care to patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or managing chronic conditions.

Patient populations may include individuals ranging from school-aged children to older adults with orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and general rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, post-surgical, and mobility-related conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered treatment plans based on clinical findings and physician referrals
  • Provide evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training
  • Deliver skilled therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and home health settings as assigned
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercise programs, injury prevention, safety, and lifestyle modifications
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, payer, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Iowa Physical Therapist license or eligibility for Iowa licensure
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred

  • Experience in outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, hospital-based rehabilitation, or home health settings
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and interdisciplinary healthcare environments
