  • Software Engineer to support our next generation Point-of-Sale platform. This role is responsible for delivering backend enhancements, maintaining cloud-native services, and providing L4 production support to ensure platform stability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • The ideal candidate has strong experience in Golang, microservices, APIs, cloud technologies, and production troubleshooting, with the ability to balance feature development, incident resolution, and continuous platform improvements in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Golang-based microservices and APIs.
  • Build and enhance REST and GraphQL services supporting store operations and enterprise integrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Support teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
  • Refactor legacy applications to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
  • Support production deployments, change management, and operational readiness activities

Mandatory Skills:

  • 7+ years of Software Engineering experience; 2+ years of hands-on Golang development
  • Strong experience with Microservices Architecture
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs
  • Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • CI/CD pipeline development and deployment experience
  • Production support, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, and distributed systems
  • GraphQL development (gqlgen or similar), gRPC, Protobuf, OpenAPI
  • Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or AWS SQS
  • Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Retail, POS, or Store Systems experience

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.06/hour - $56.34/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
