RN Nurse Manager

Job Overview

The RN Nurse Manager leads nursing operations and supports safe, coordinated patient care. This role guides staff, oversees clinical workflows, and promotes compliance with nursing policies, privacy requirements, and applicable state and county healthcare regulations. The position involve long-term care, and Communities-Based Medicaid funded programs settings (Homecare Assistance Services).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and coordinate nursing staff; support staffing, performance, and clear managerial communication.
• Oversee Team of Nurse Monitors patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, care planning, discharge planning, and appropriate escalation of clinical concerns.
• Monitor adherence to infection control, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), nursing policies, and relevant healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams on patient care, utilization review or management, and case management.
• Review clinical records and workflows in electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems; support accurate billing and documentation by the Nurse Monitors Team.
• Skills
• Required: Registered Nurse licensure and demonstrated nursing leadership, nurse management, supervising, or charge experience; team management and patient care expertise.
• Required: Strong patient assessment, medication administration, medical documentation, medical terminology, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience in hospital, critical or intensive care, ICU, emergency medicine, medical-surgical, pediatrics, geriatrics, senior care, dementia or memory care, behavioral health, dialysis, home care, or long-term care.
• Preferred: Familiarity with utilization review, and state or long-term care regulations.
• Additional relevant experience may include infection control, and care of people with disabilities.

Pay: From $77,000.00 per year
