Physician Assistant

Caduceus is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide onsite medical care at a mine near Bagdad, Arizona. The PA will evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, provide first aid and urgent care within their scope of practice, and coordinate referrals or emergency services when needed.

This role is well suited to a clinically confident PA who can work independently in a remote, fast-paced setting and communicate effectively with patients, mine personnel, and the Caduceus team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat work-related injuries and illnesses within the PA’s training, experience, and scope of practice.
• Provide first aid, urgent care, and follow-up assessments.
• Determine when a patient needs referral, transport, or emergency medical services.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately and promptly.
• Maintain complete, confidential medical records in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Coordinate care and communicate relevant work-status information through approved channels.
• Follow mine-site safety procedures, clinic protocols, and applicable Arizona laws and regulations.
• Maintain clinic readiness and help ensure medical supplies and equipment are available.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Arizona Physician Assistant license in good standing.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, or mine-site healthcare preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work onsite at a mine near Bagdad, Arizona, and meet site access and safety requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain professional malpractice insurance covering the services provided under this engagement.

Engagement Details

This is an independent contractor engagement. The contractor is responsible for obtaining and maintaining their own professional malpractice insurance and providing proof of coverage upon request. Compensation, schedule, travel or lodging arrangements, and other contract terms will be provided in the written agreement.

The PA must practice in accordance with applicable Arizona requirements and the agreed clinical and operational protocols.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
