Accounting Manager

Bullseye Leak Detection is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to own the accuracy and day-to-day execution of our accounting function.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, complete reconciliations, maintain accurate records across QuickBooks and our CRM, identify discrepancies, and improve accounting processes before problems compound.

What You’ll

Own

• Full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• AP processing in both our CRM and QuickBooks
• Scheduling and initiating approved vendor payments
• AR aging, collections, and escalation of delinquent or higher-risk accounts
• Billing-related customer account accuracy and setup review
• CRM-to-QuickBooks accounting accuracy
• Bank, credit-card, merchant-deposit, loan, and assigned balance-sheet reconciliations
• Preliminary notice and lien tracking
• Month-end accounting preparation for management review
• Documentation and audit trails for payments, adjustments, reconciliations, and account corrections
• Identifying recurring accounting errors and improving controls, checklists, and workflows
• Reviewing accounting-related work delegated to administrative support staff

Some routine work, including portions of collections follow-up and initial customer account setup, may be completed by our Operations Assistant. The Accounting Manager remains accountable for the accuracy and outcome of the accounting process.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Meaningful hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience with both AP and AR
• Associate degree in Accounting or a closely related field
• Strong QuickBooks experience
• Experience completing account reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, filtering, reconciliation work, and basic pivot tables
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes
• Ability to maintain clear documentation and audit trails
• Ability to manage recurring accounting deadlines independently
• Ability to clearly communicate financial risks, deadlines, and issues requiring management review

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Accounting experience in a service, construction, plumbing, trade, or field-service business
• Experience with field-service CRM systems or CRM-to-accounting integrations
• Experience with commercial billing, NET terms, preliminary notices, liens, or construction-related collections
• Experience preparing reconciled month-end accounting packages

Bullseye Leak Detection is an independent, family-owned leak detection and plumbing repair company serving residential, commercial, municipal, property-management, HOA, and insurance clients.

We specialize in leak detection and technically complex plumbing repair work and support operations in both the Sacramento and Central Valley markets.

Compensation & Benefits

$75,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday.
