About this role
Job Summary
This isn't a sales job. It's a market to build.
Halo Automation is expanding into Las Vegas, and we're looking for the person who wants to plant the flag.
You won't inherit a full pipeline or a manager looking over your shoulder. You'll be the one opening doors,
earning the trust of the people who build and design the valley's best homes, and turning a brand-new market
into something real. For the right person, that can mean owning a piece of it.
This is not an entry-level role. You need a proven track record in outside sales, not inside, not retail. You build
your own book of business, and you like it that way.
What This Role Really Comes Down To
Selling. Sitting across from the owner of a multi-million-dollar home, understanding how they want to live, and
translating that into a proposal they say yes to. If it doesn't generate revenue, it's not your job. Our engineers,
project managers, installers, programmers, and service techs take care of the rest.
What You'll Do
- Sell. Consult on and close smart home and smart building solutions including home automation,
audio/video, home cinema, lighting and shading, networking, security, and surveillance.
- Build referral relationships. Develop steady sources of project referrals with architects, general
contractors, custom home builders, owner's reps, interior designers, and other trades. These are your
annuity.
- Own your clients. Build lasting relationships with high-net-worth homeowners, keep them happy, and turn
them into referral sources.
- Manage your pipeline. Keep the CRM current with leads, opportunities, activities, probability, close dates,
and next steps.
- Scope it right. Define the scope of work and make sure every proposal matches what the client actually
needs.
- Hit your number. Consistently meet or beat your monthly sales goal.
Who We're Looking For
Someone who gets up and goes without being told to. You're self-disciplined, organized, and you measure
yourself by results, not hours. You follow through every time. Most of all, you want more than a paycheck.
You
want to grow something and grow with it.Ideal Experience
- 3+ years of outside sales to high-net-worth clients in the built or construction environment
- Experience selling A/V, networking, Lutron lighting and shading, Control4, Savant, Crestron, or high-end
home cinema
- Also considered: selling electrical, security, lighting controls, BMS, or other technology into construction
- Background with a residential or commercial integration firm is ideal. Owner's rep, architectural rep,
premium architectural products sales, or trades business development with a technology focus also works.
- Hands-on installation or programming experience is a big help. Knowing how systems actually go in makes
you sharper at scoping, proposing, and earning a client's trust.
- Existing relationships in the Las Vegas building and design community are a big plus
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Live in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area
What Halo Offers You
- Base salary: $45,000
- Uncapped commission on top of base
- Expected annual earnings: $100,000 – $200,000+, driven by what you sell
- Ownership opportunity for the right person as the Las Vegas market grows
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, hybrid with time in the field and at our south Las Vegas office off I-15 as
needed.
