• GENERAL DESCRIPTION

+ The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care in the Surgery Services unit. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The nurse demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.

Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

• EDUCATION and TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

+ Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate Degree of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS required.

• WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

+ One year prior professional nursing experience required.

+ Previous surgical nursing experience including; circulating, assisting and scrubbing preferred.

+ Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of nursing practice required.

+ Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others.

+ Maintains commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement.

+ Excellent team player and communication skills required.

Salary Range: $30.10-$42.14
