About this role

First Batch–Digital Marketing Manager

The First Batch wineries create magic for our guests every day, whether that's bringing a dream wedding to life, creating a delicious new dish to pair with our wine, or helping people discover a new passion on one of our winery tours.

We do this with an approachable, warm, inclusive, down-to-earth attitude that reflects our passion for bringing traditional winemaking into urban centers, so people don't have to travel to experience the magic of winemaking.

We are looking for team members who care deeply about creating a friendly, warm experience for our guests and for each other. People who love food, wine and events, and who love to learn, share, and tell others about their stories and adventures.

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for all digital advertising efforts. This includes not only the programming of paid digital advertising campaigns, but tracking their efficacy, analyzing data, preparing reports, building and optimizing landing pages, and ensuring website content is created and optimized to convert leads.

Core Responsibilities

Digital Advertising:

  • Paid ad creation & management on platforms including but not limited to Google, Meta, Reddit, Bing.
  • Collaborate with Creative Marketing Manager to ensure content and content deployment on organic channels aligns & supports paid strategies and to utilize any high performing organic content.
  • Conduct paid search governance by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits of paid ads infrastructure, ensuring flawless tracking, clean campaign hierarchy, and optimal budget allocation.
  • Mitigate against wasted spend by actively managing search term reports to identify, build, and maintain robust negative keyword lists, routinely reducing cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
  • Optimize creative assets via routine audits and A/B testing ad creatives, copy variants, and asset extensions (sitelinks, images, promotions) to maximize click through rate, lead conversion, and quality scores.
  • Monitor and guide Google’s smart bidding and performance max algorithms by auditing conversion signals, audience inputs, and target KPIs regularly.
  • Ownership of all SEO & GEO efforts including ranking and citations.
  • Responsible for tracking all platform changes including core updates, new features, and testing any new AI/Agentic tools.

Data, Analytics, and Strategic Forecasting:

  • Maintain ongoing, deep analysis of campaign data; have a "finger on the pulse" of the advertising engine at all times to instantly catch anomalies or scale wins.
  • Own the weekly update of the results dashboard (Google Sheets) and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable quarterly performance reports for the executive team.
  • Champion data hygiene by routinely auditing conversion tracking, UTM tagging, and GA4 integration to ensure 100% accurate attribution.
  • Translate raw metrics into a cohesive strategic approach for paid advertising, ensuring daily and weekly optimization tactics align with high- level business goals.
  • Analyze historical performance data and market trends to feed into the annual marketing plan, establishing realistic KPIs and tactical roadmaps to hit company growth objectives.
  • Formulate and execute a continuous A/B testing framework (for creative, copy, and landing pages), using performance data to foster a culture of constant optimization.

Website Landing Page & UX Optimization:

  • Ensure Ad-to-Page alignment. Design, launch, and manage high-converting landing pages specifically tailored to paid ad campaigns, ensuring an intuitive user experience (UX) from click to conversion.
  • Maximize quality score & ad rank by building landing pages optimized for Google’s core ranking factors—maximizing Relevance, Expected Click-Through Rate, and Landing Page Experience to lower Cost-Per-Click (CPC) and boost Ad Rank.
  • Boost AI & Search Engine Readability. Partner with our web developers to structure website content, technical metadata, and on-page schema so it is effortlessly crawled, understood, and surfaced by Google’s AI search models and algorithms.
  • Improve conversion rate optimization through running continuous A/B and multivariate tests on landing pages (testing headlines, layouts, form lengths, and CTAs) to systematically improve conversion rates.
  • Monitor core web vitals & technical health by collaborating with our web developers to ensure landing pages load instantly, feature seamless mobile responsiveness, and meet Google’s stringent page-speed performance benchmarks.
  • Ensure all new landing pages and web assets are properly instrumented with Google Tag Manager, heatmaps, and event-tracking pixels before launching campaigns.
  • Create website content that meets EEAT standards & converts website visitors into leads.
