Job Title: Technical Product Manager
Location: Remote
Company: BrandRank.AI
Duration: Full Time
Reports to: Chief Product/Operations Officer
About BrandRank.AI
BrandRank.AI is an AI brand intelligence platform. We measure how AI answer engines such as Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Grok and Meta AI describe, rank and recommend brands, and we show brands where they are visible, where they are vulnerable, and what to fix first. Our customers include some of the largest consumer brands in the world.
We are a small but growing team engaged in exciting work on a new frontier of brand building.
The Role
You will report to the Chief Product/Operations Officer and sit alongside the engineering team. You will translate the voice of the customer into product requirements and turn those requirements into working application solutions.
You will own the connective tissue between what we build and what the rest of the company says about it, communicating product capabilities to the Sales team, the Marketing team and the customer in plain language. This is a hands-on role at an early-stage company. You will write the spec and help the engineers work through trade-offs to reach product-market fit.
What You Will Do
- Partner with engineering. Act as the day-to-day product counterpart to our engineering leads. Define requirements, scope features, write Linear specs, and keep the backlog honest.
- Own product communications. Write release notes, platform change documentation, and internal product updates. Set the cadence and keep it.
- Run the roadmap. Maintain the product roadmap with engineering. Translate technical initiatives such as data-pipeline changes, answer-engine coverage expansion and scoring-method updates into roadmap items with clear customer value.
- Translate for the business. Explain metric definitions, scoring logic and platform behavior to Sales, Customer Success and Marketing in plain language. Make sure what we tell customers matches what the product does.
- Close the feedback loop. Collect product feedback from the team and customers, track what is and is not on the roadmap, and report back on where each item stands.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of product management experience on technical products: APIs, data platforms, AI/ML products or core infrastructure.
- A technical foundation. A degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience. You can read a schema, follow a pipeline diagram and ask engineers good questions.
- Fluency with LLMs. Hands-on experience with LLM-based products, including how they are prompted, evaluated and integrated into applications.
- Strong technical writing. You have a track record of release notes, documentation and internal updates that people actually read.
- Fluency in agile delivery and modern engineering workflows. Linear or Jira, sprints, and working directly with engineers every day.
- Comfort with ambiguity and small-team pace. You would rather own the outcome than wait for a process.
Nice to Have
- Experience with search, or ranking and scoring systems.
- Experience working with large consumer brands or enterprise customers.
- Exposure to AI answer engines and how they source, cite and rank content.
