Accounting Analyst IV

Overview

As an Accounting Analyst IV, you’ll apply advanced accounting and financial analysis skills to support accurate reporting, sound decisions, and regulatory compliance. You’ll work across general ledger activity, reconciliations, budgets, and forecasts, using financial software and clear reporting to turn complex information into practical insight.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and interpret financial statements and reports; write clear summaries of findings.
• Manage journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, accrual accounting, and general ledger accounting and reconciliation.
• Complete balance sheet, bank, account, and accounts receivable reconciliations; analyze cash flow and financial results.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, corporate finance, and financial management while maintaining GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other applicable financial compliance.
• Use Excel data analysis, spreadsheets, and accounting software to review data, including VLOOKUP; support regulatory compliance accounting across relevant organizational settings.

Requirements

• Accounting and finance experience, with strong financial acumen and knowledge of financial concepts, technical accounting, financial accounting, corporate accounting, and public accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, Quicken, or other financial software is useful.
• Knowledge of non-profit and governmental accounting, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and wills, trusts, and estate law is relevant where applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare, reconcile, analyze, and interpret financial information accurately.
• Mentoring experience is valued; bring a collaborative approach to sharing accounting knowledge.
