Android Software Engineer

Job Description

BlueFletch is seeking a skilled Android Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Android applications and mobile software solutions. The ideal candidate has strong Kotlin or Java programming skills and experience developing secure, reliable applications for business and workforce devices.

The successful candidate will work with engineering and product teams to build mobile software that supports enterprise mobility, device management, authentication, and workforce productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications.
• Build reliable mobile software using Kotlin and Java.
• Develop application features for enterprise Android devices.
• Integrate REST APIs, backend services, and third-party platforms.
• Implement secure authentication and device management functionality.
• Troubleshoot application defects and improve performance.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Support software releases, updates, and ongoing maintenance.

Required Technical Skills

• Professional experience with Android application development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Understanding of Android application architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and database integration.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Knowledge of mobile security and application testing.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Android Enterprise and managed devices.
• Familiarity with Zebra mobile computers and rugged Android devices.
• Knowledge of Android Jetpack and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with enterprise mobility management (EMM).
• Familiarity with Firebase and cloud services.
• Understanding of single sign-on (SSO) and mobile authentication.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD workflows.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
