Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Early Intervention

Beyond Play LLC is hiring Illinois-licensed Occupational Therapists to provide Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers from birth to age 3 in Joliet, Romeoville, and nearby Will County communities.

Visits take place in children's homes and other natural environments, including daycares. Some visits may be provided virtually when authorized and clinically appropriate. Local in-person visits are part of this role; virtual availability depends on each child's service plan and family needs.

Pay and flexibility

• Independent contractor pay: $75 per direct-service hour.
• Choose your hours, caseload, and preferred local service area.
• We are always hiring, with flexible start dates.
• Contractor opportunities are preferred; W-2 roles are also available. The advertised rate applies to contractor direct service. W-2 compensation and benefits are discussed separately.
• We help eligible applicants obtain Illinois Early Intervention credentials. You do not need to be EI credentialed when you apply; required credentials must be in place before providing EI services.

What you'll do

• Evaluate children and provide family-centered occupational therapy services that support play, fine motor development, and participation in everyday routines.
• Coach parents and caregivers on practical strategies they can use between visits.
• Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and the child's Early Intervention team.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Occupational Therapist license is required.
• Eligibility to obtain the applicable Illinois Early Intervention credential.
• Pediatric or Early Intervention experience is preferred. Therapists new to EI are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for in-person visits.
• Comfort working with infants, toddlers, and caregivers in home and community settings.
