**Job Summary**
The Project Senior Designer provides high\-level creative and design support for specific Bethel Church projects, campaigns, events, and strategic initiatives on a project\-based, as\-needed basis.
Reporting to the Design Lead under the direction of the Creative \& Story Director, the Project Senior Designer is a highly creative and strategically minded designer who can step into key projects and provide senior\-level concept development, art direction, and design execution.
This role supports Bethel’s creative needs during designated projects, seasons of increased workload, or periods when additional senior design capacity is needed.
The Project Senior Designer should have an in\-depth knowledge of graphic design, visual storytelling, brand development, typography, layout, and production, with experience taking projects from initial concept through final execution across digital, print, environmental, merchandise, and other creative applications.
The goal of this role is to provide flexible, high\-level creative support that helps maintain the quality and consistency of Bethel’s visual expression while moving forward the mission of Bethel Church to see revival change the world.
**Hours:** 0 hours per week
**Compensation:** $20\. 00 \- $33\. 80 per hour
**Job Requirements**
Creative \& Design
- Interpret the story, strategy, and objectives of an assigned project and translate them into a compelling visual direction
- Conceptualize and develop original design concepts, visual systems, and campaign looks
- Develop layouts, typography, imagery, graphics, and other visual elements appropriate to each project
- Create brand briefs or visual direction for assigned projects when needed
- Execute high\-level design work across relevant applications, including digital, print, environmental, merchandise, web, and campaign assets
- Present creative concepts and design direction to the Design Lead, Creative \& Story Director, and relevant project stakeholders
- Refine creative work based on feedback and project objectives
- Maintain a strong eye for aesthetics, visual details, functionality, and consistency throughout the life of a project
- Support photoshoots or other creative production when needed to ensure consistency with the established visual direction
- Ensure final creative work reflects Bethel’s brand, values, and established standards of excellence
Project Collaboration \& Execution
- Collaborate with the Design Lead, Creative \& Story Director, Project Managers, marketers, and other team members to understand project goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Develop and execute design solutions from concept through completion with minimal direction
- Communicate clearly regarding project status, creative needs, challenges, and potential changes to scope or timelines
- Coordinate with other designers and creative team members when projects require multiple contributors
- Provide senior\-level creative guidance or feedback to Intermediate and Junior Designers working on assigned projects when needed
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities, creative direction, and project requirements
- Complete assigned work within established project timelines and approved scope

- Help maintain a high standard of quality across assigned projects and deliverables
- Provide thoughtful creative problem\-solving and strategic design perspective
- Collaborate across teams to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of Bethel’s visual communication
- Stay current with relevant design trends, tools, techniques, and best practices
Skillset
- Believes and adheres to the beliefs, vision, and core values of Bethel Church and is able to make decisions in alignment with them
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with an excellent understanding of typography, color, composition, imagery, and layout
- Ability to translate strategy, narrative, and creative direction into compelling visual concepts
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills
- Ability to develop and execute projects with minimal direction or feedback
- Experience designing across digital, print, environmental, merchandise, and other relevant applications
- Ability to work within established brands while also developing new visual directions when appropriate
- Comfortable receiving project briefs, creative direction, and stakeholder feedback
- Ability to adapt to quick turnarounds, shifting priorities, and changes in creative direction
- Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to creative teams and stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to provide creative guidance and feedback to other designers when needed
- Proficiency in relevant Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and completed design projects
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet project deadlines
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Believes and adheres to the beliefs and vision of Bethel Church
- This position does not qualify for sponsorship of work authorization or an employment visa, so candidates must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. to be considered for this position.
- Prior experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer, or in a comparable senior\-level creative role
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing creative projects and campaigns from concept through completion
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position (see attached)
- Ability to pass a background check
**Preferred Qualifications**
- B.A. in Design, Visual Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred, though not
required
- Please note: This is a zero\-hour, project\-based position. Hours are assigned based on approved projects and
organizational needs and are not guaranteed on an ongoing basis. The Project Senior Designer may be
engaged for specific projects, campaigns, events, periods of increased creative workload, or temporary
design coverage as needed. \*
