Job Summary

Beth’s Farm Kitchen is operating a 2 month long holiday market at Macy’s Herald Square store in Manhattan, NY.

Beth’s Farm Kitchen is a 45 year old company based out of the Hudson Valley with a long-history selling direct into NYC markets. We make delicious things in jars! Our facility in Old Chatham, NY produces jams, jellies, pickles, chutneys & sauces that make for ideal gifts for the holidays.

We are a small, family-run company, and the investment and success of this market is crucial to the growth of our business. You’ll be at the heart of a bustling holiday marketplace, as part of a 4 person team, delivering top-notch guest experience, proactive sales and capturing authentic moments for a brief social media campaign.

We are looking to fill a sales associate position with some added social media duties, for this holiday market experience. The sales associate will be able to create content from first hand experiences and direct exposure to BFK and the Macy's Holiday Market. This is a 3/4 time position with the potential of full time hours for the right employee.

Starting as soon as the week of November 1st. The weekly schedule will lean heavily towards Thursday through Sunday and will require 8 to 10 hour shifts.

This is a temporary 6 to 8 week position, with the potential of becoming a part time or full time position with our company (I.e. Think of it as a long job interview).

Our ideal candidate brings the following to the team:

• Retail and/or sales experience.
• Social Media skills with an understanding of how to communicate outwardly about our partnership with Macy’s and this market.
• An eye for merchandising and visual improvement of the space.
• An understanding of, and passion for food!
• Great communication skills
• Ability to organize many details and communicate clearly with their team.
• Understanding of Point of Sale systems including payment processing, discounts, returns, etc.

We are seeking a serious professional who believes that their skill set will help us to make this a vibrant part of our Holiday sales plan for this year and potentially on an annual basis!

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week
