Job Overview

BC Networks, Inc. is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to support, maintain, and improve business IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will help manage servers, networks, cloud environments, and security systems while ensuring reliable technology operations for business clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
• Monitor system performance, availability, storage, and network services.
• Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based services.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Maintain network infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and related services.
• Implement system updates, security patches, and infrastructure improvements.
• Document technical procedures and system configurations.
• Collaborate with IT support and cybersecurity teams to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery processes.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
• Understanding of endpoint protection and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience with network monitoring and infrastructure management.
• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.

Compensation
