**Position Summary**

Base\-2 Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI\-cleared DevOps Software Engineer to help build and deploy a full\-stack, containerized technology platform supporting DOMEX data discovery modernization and the centralization and standardization of OSINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination across the DoD and Intelligence Community.

The role is primarily performed on\-site in Bethesda, MD, with occasional remote work permitted for some tasks.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities.
• Collaborate with developers, software integrators, system administrators, systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration teams.

**Required Qualifications**

• Relevant experience meeting an applicable education and experience pathway in the equivalency section.
• Strong Linux proficiency, specifically including knowledge of sysctls for Kubernetes environments and experience with FApolicyd and SELinux.
• Hands\-on experience with containers and Kubernetes, including Ingress/Gateway API, Helm chart design and build, pod disruption budgets, affinity and anti\-affinity rules, external\-secrets, ArgoCD, cert\-manager, and ECK (Elasticsearch).
• Experience with GitLab pipeline development, including integration of GitLab CI/CD components, code quality reports, and coverage and test reports.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success working in cross\-functional engineering environments.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Experience with systems at scale.
• Experience or knowledge of key Agile processes and techniques.
• Experience with development using Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, or Java.
• Experience supporting an enterprise or production system.
• Experience with Kafka or other message\-passing systems, including AMQP and JMS.
• Experience with Kubernetes monitoring, including Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with GPU\-based Kubernetes.
• Experience with SALT for deployment automation.
• Experience with Nexus.

**Required Education and Experience Equivalency**

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 8\+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 6\+ years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

**Required Certifications**

• At least one DoD 8570\.01\-M IAT Level II or higher certification, such as CCNA Security, CySA\+, Security\+ CE, SSCP, or CISSP (or Associate).
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy.
