To be eligible for this internship, you must be a student at any university based in Michigan. Also this internship is full time in person at our Ann Arbor office!

Barrett Solutions is a software development agency based in Ann Arbor focused on full-stack development, data aggregation, and AI automation. We work with clients across industries to build custom web applications, data pipelines, and AI-powered workflows.

The Role

We are looking for a part-time Software Engineering Intern to help build web applications for real clients alongside our engineers this fall. This is a paid, in-person role at our Ann Arbor office. Pay is $19 to $23 per hour, based on experience.

We are looking for someone to start ASAP.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an engineering or computer science program at a college or university in Michigan.

Hours

24 hours per week, ideally three full days in the office.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience building web applications with React or Next.js, through coursework, projects, or work
• Comfort with TypeScript, Node.js or Express, and SQL
• Python and FastAPI are a plus
• Experience building with AI tools or connecting AI models (like OpenAI or Claude) into apps is a plus
• Cloud experience is a bonus
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate clearly
