Accountant

Overview

As an Accountant, you’ll keep financial records accurate, organized, and ready to support sound decisions. You’ll work across general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, applying accounting principles and clear processes to daily transactions and reporting.

Duties

• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform account and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, support receivables management, and complete data entry with care.
• Assist with budgeting, account analysis, credit analysis, and financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Use spreadsheets and accounting systems to review transactions, analyze Excel data, and maintain confidential information.
• Support corporate, public, governmental, or nonprofit accounting needs, as applicable, and follow Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls where relevant.

Qualifications

• Accounting and finance experience, with knowledge of bookkeeping, double-entry bookkeeping, debits and credits, financial concepts, and basic math and numeracy.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial software; experience with QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or other accounting systems is useful.
• Exposure to enterprise or payroll platforms such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, or Ceridian is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and spreadsheets; strong customer service, financial acumen, and confidential information handling.
• Technical accounting experience is helpful; equivalent skills across relevant accounting systems are welcome.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $80,800.00 per year
