Role Overview:

A licensed

Physical Therapist

assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treatment Planning & Care: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
  • Patient Assessment: Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans, considering patient/family input.
  • Documentation: Records evaluations, treatment sessions, discharge plans, and family education per departmental protocols.
  • Professional Conduct & Customer Service: Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, effective communication, teamwork, and a positive environment. Applies service principles like AIDET and fosters respectful interactions.
  • Professional Development: Participates in ongoing education, completes required competencies, mentors new staff, and adheres to hospital policies.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; valid PT license; BLS certification; effective communication skills; customer-focused; team-oriented; basic computer skills.
