Role Overview:
A Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) with outpatient neuro experience is sought to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. The role involves assessing, planning, and participating in rehabilitative programs aimed at restoring or improving patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and goals.
- Conduct patient assessments in collaboration with physicians, establishing and evaluating treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and educational activities adhering to departmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote ethical practices, confidentiality, and safety.
- Engage in professional development, mandatory training, and participate in team meetings and process improvement activities.
- Deliver excellent customer service, applying communication principles like AIDET, fostering teamwork, and maintaining a positive environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification required upon hire.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
