Role Overview:

The Occupational Therapist plans and implements treatment programs for patients across all ages, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote health and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' performance and develop individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members using verbal, non-verbal, reading, and writing skills.
• Participate in professional development, share knowledge, and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
• Establish rapport with patients and team members, handle cultural diversity, and promote positive relationships.
• Contribute to discharge planning, recommend adaptive equipment, and ensure safe patient transitions.
• Maintain documentation, follow safety protocols, and support department quality initiatives.
• Train and mentor students and staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment strategies, and utilize evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist certification is required.
