  • Educate clients and, when appropriate, their families about diagnoses, treatment options, medication benefits, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with therapists, administrative staff, referral partners, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and follow established clinical, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and service-development efforts related to psychiatry and medication management.
  • Provide culturally responsive, person-centered care that respects each client’s background, preferences, and treatment goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification (PMHNP-BC).
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority appropriate to the position and consistent with applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Experience conducting psychiatric assessments and providing medication management in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to serve diverse populations within the provider’s certification, training, and scope of practice.
  • Ability to meet background screening, payer credentialing, and other employment requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
  • Experience helping establish or expand an outpatient psychiatry or medication management program.
  • Comfort providing both telehealth and office-based care.
  • Experience coordinating treatment with therapists and other behavioral health professionals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and behavioral health electronic health record platforms.

Compensation and Schedule

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, employment arrangement, and agreed-upon productivity expectations. Schedule, anticipated caseload, and the balance of office-based and telehealth care will be discussed during the interview process.
