Job description
About this role
Job Overview
Join the team as a Java FullStack Developer with experience in large language models (LLMs). You’ll build and improve web applications across the front end and back end, connect services through application programming interfaces (APIs), and help shape scalable systems. You’ll collaborate in an Agile software development environment, applying sound software design and engineering practices to deliver reliable solutions.
Duties
- Develop Java-based applications and web experiences, including front-end development with JavaScript and frameworks such as React and Express.
- Design REST (Representational State Transfer) and RESTful APIs, microservices, and system architectures that support scalability.
- Apply LLM capabilities alongside software development practices to create useful application features.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, including AWS or Azure environments, and work with SQL databases such as MySQL.
- Use version control and delivery tools such as Git, GitHub, SVN, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD); contribute to code reviews and Agile planning.
Your impact
You’ll help deliver dependable, scalable applications that make digital services more useful for the people who rely on them.
Experience
- Experience with Java, application development, web development, JavaScript, and software engineering is important; familiarity with Python or other programming languages is useful.
- Knowledge of design patterns, IT infrastructure, Linux, access control through role-based access control (RBAC), and system design for system development is valuable.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, REST, SQL, and scalable systems is preferred.
- Ruby on Rails, C, VBA, and quantum engineering are additional areas of interest, not requirements.
- Familiarity with React and Express, Agile methods, and tools such as GitHub, Git, or SVN is a plus.
