About the company

We're partnering with a fast-growing autonomy company in Austin. They build systems that detect, track and respond to objects in real time, out in the field. They're now building out a dedicated computer vision and ML team.

The role

You'll be one of the first senior engineers on the new CV/ML team. You'll take perception models from prototype to systems running on real hardware in tough conditions. There's room to grow into a lead role as the team expands.

What you'll do

• Build and train models for object detection, tracking and classification
• Deploy models onto edge hardware where speed and reliability matter
• Work with sensor data from cameras, radar and thermal imaging
• Test models in the field and use the results to improve them
• Work closely with the hardware and controls teams

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of ML or computer vision experience
• Strong Python and PyTorch, with C++ a plus
• Experience with detection and tracking models in production
• You've deployed models onto edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson or similar)
• US citizenship, due to the nature of the work

Nice to have

• Experience in defense, aerospace or autonomous systems
• Sensor fusion experience
• TensorRT or similar optimization tools
