About this role

Description: Georgetown, TX (On-site, Monday–Friday) | 60K-75K

Austin Cutlery & Tool is part of a fast-growing, privately held portfolio of premium culinary and foodservice brands, including Cangshan Cutlery and New Star Foodservice. Headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, we deliver high-quality products and trusted solutions worldwide. Our culture is built on collaboration, respect, excellence, accountability, and trust.

We're looking for a Staff Accountant II – AP & Expense Operations to take primary ownership of expense management, AP workflow oversight, and operational accounting in our fast-paced, multi-entity distribution and eCommerce environment.

You'll work on a modern accounting stack — SAP S/4HANA paired with automated AP and expense platforms — and have the independence to research, problem-solve, and run accounting workflows with limited supervision. If you take pride in clean processes and real ownership, this is your seat.

What You'll Do

  • Expense Management & Policy Administration.
  • Administer corporate card and reimbursement programs through the Company's expense management platform, audit expense reports against Travel & Expense policies, keep approval workflows moving, and support employee training and ongoing system improvements.
  • Accounts Payable & Vendor Operations.
  • Manage AP workflows, invoice processing, and vendor communications; reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice, receiving, and unmatched transaction issues; and partner with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and keep transactions clean.

Month-End Close & Operational

Support. Support month-end close and assigned deliverables, prepare schedules and accruals, assist with reconciliations and transaction research, support year-end audits, and maintain accurate records within SAP S/4HANA.

Process & Continuous Improvement. Maintain compliance with internal controls and workflow standards, identify inefficiencies, and support automation and standardization efforts that scale with our growth.

Benefits

  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Medical, Dental & Vision (employer contribution up to $650/mo)
  • Paid Vacation + 10 Paid Holidays
  • HSA and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Life, Dependent Life, AD&D, and Disability insurance options
  • Annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Paid training and development opportunities

Requirements:

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of accounting, AP operations, or operational accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale ERP systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Sharp organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to independently research and resolve accounting and operational issues

Nice-to-Haves (not required — we'll help you grow here)

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with AP automation and expense platforms such as Tipalti
  • Background in distribution, inventory, manufacturing, or eCommerce
  • Experience with workflow management, policy enforcement, and month-end close or audit support
